1/4 Beef Quarter Raffle for Harper Motts

If you have visited the farm, you have probably seen 2 young ladies tending to chickens and cattle. Their 4H projects are housed at our farm and we love watching them grow and learn with their Market Steers. This morning sadly we had an unexpected loss of one of those 4H steers, sadly in farm life we lose animals to no ones fault.  The importance of these animals for a young 4Her goes way beyond a show ring, it teaches them responsibilty, success/failure, it is also how some afford the following years project and save a little for their future.  This would be Miss Harper's second year to show and now that oppourtunity is gone.  The Mott's family has had a difficult couple of years with some very serious health issues facing one member of their family, these sweet girls have remained positive and strong when faced with much uncertainity.  We wanted to be able to help Harper in the smallest way by donating a 1/4 of beef to raffle to help her towards her next years purchase.  We will be selling 150 tickets at $20.00 each, the drawing will be held on April 30th, 2022. Tickets can be purchased online, or in person from Ellington Farms, Motts Old Mill Bulk Foods.  100% of the proceeds will go directly to Harper for her to purchase a steer for 2023.
